Rihanna Planning Sexy BRITs Performance?
Rihanna is allegedly planning her sexiest performance to date at The BRIT Awards 2011 next week.
According to The Metro, RiRi is plotting to shock audiences with her stage show at the awards ceremony and is “seeking revenge” on the music industry after her latest single S&M, was censored by her label, Def Jam.
An insider told the newspaper: “Rihanna’s Brits performance is going to be her raunchiest show yet… And will be filled with lots of nudity.”
RiRi, who is nominated for the International Female Solo Artist gong at the bash, caused controversy when appearing on The X Factor finale last December, where over 4,000 viewers complained about her raunchy performance of What’s My Name.
The Barbadian beauty also hit the headlines last week after her saucy S&M promo came under fire for featuring scenes of bondage.

Reb’l Fleur Commecial
The short half-a-minute commercial for Rihana’s scent Reb’l Fleur is hitting screens on friday. If you don’t want to wait for it, read the describing text below.
Rihanna glides around a lush topiary garden wearing a peach dress and smiling. Then, Alice-like, she steps through a mirror and is suddenly wearing a black dress and a come-hither expression, and is embraced by a dark stranger wearing a tuxedo.
A specially designed video player enables users to choose to run the video in either direction, which of course conveys different situations, such as the singer stepping toward the man in one mode and backing away from him in another.
Can you picture that?! We can’t wait for it!!

BBC change the name of “S&M”
During this week’s UK Official Top 40, BBC Radio 1 who host the chart show, changed the title of “S&M” to “Come On”. Also they dubbed the words “Chains And Whips Excite Me” and “S&M”. S&M/Come On entered the charts at 20. They have also been cautious about at what times the play the track. Rihanna tweeted the following in response to this:

Rihanna to duet with Cher Lloyd?
Rihanna is interested in recording a duet with Cher Lloyd for The X Factor finalist’s debut album.
Reports suggest that RiRi will team up with Will.I.Am to add some star power to the 17-year-old’s album, due in August.
The What’s My Name star’s admiration for Cher came after she saw her perform on The X Factor, an insider told the Daily Star. “Rihanna is a big fan of Cher. She told Will.I.Am how much she loved her after her X Factor appearance and the two of them spoke about how successful she could be in the States. Will has since talked to Rihanna about the three of them working on a track for Cher’s album.”
In other Rihanna news, she has apparently been asked to scale back her performance at The BRIT Awards 2011, where she is nominated for International Female Solo Artist.
Organisers are said to be worried about the amount of fireworks she plans to use, which would mean they are lumped with an enormous insurance premium due to the added safety risk.
She’s not the only one – Plan B has similarly been instructed to tone down his performance.
The awards ceremony takes place on 15 February at London’s O2 Arena.

Rihanna added and confirmed two new dates for LOUD Tour 2011 in Croatia and Slovenia. This is her first time to come here.

Due to news that the popular singer Rihanna will perform in Ljubljana and Split in June this year, Live Nation as the promoter of her world tour with the singer’s management, asked Lupa Promotion to deny the news. Rihanna’s European tour starts later this year and currently there are no plans for further concerts in June.
Rihanna’s management and Live Nation wants to clarify that they never sent the offer to organize these concerts and has never signed a contract confirming her performances in Ljubljana and Split.

Rihanna Video Director Defends S&M Promo
A director who shot Rihanna’s S&M video [also Rude Boy] has defended the racy footage, insisting it was her intention to provoke a reaction with suggestive imagery.
Melina Matsoukas isn’t surprised the clip, which sees Rihanna tied up, sucking on a banana, and whipping men, has stirred up controversy around the world – because it was her aim to shock viewers.
Matsoukas tells MTV.com, “When I go out to make something, I kind of go out with the intention to get it banned – (well) not to get it banned, I always want my stuff played – but to make something provocative. So when you do something that’s provocative, that’s usually a repercussion. It’s gonna be talked about or banned or slandered in some way. But it’s making an effect and people are having a dialogue about it, so, to me, that’s successful.”
Matsoukas reveals the Bajan beauty herself initially worried about causing offence but felt victorious after bosses at music network MTV agreed to air her video uncensored.
She adds, “She was happy that MTV had no changes, and she was definitely like, ‘See? We made it through!’ Because the whole time we were like, ‘If we use ball gags and we show this, are they gonna play it?’ And we just went for it and didn’t care, and people seem to be embracing that.”
The promo has been banned in 11 countries, while YouTube.com bosses have put an age restriction on the footage.
