“Love The Way You Lie” Music Video to Be Shot on July 22

The Music Video for ” Love the way you Lie ” is scheduled to be filmed on July 22, which is in 3 days from today. It will be directed by Joseph Kahn. Kahn has worked with diverse artists such as Mariah Carey, Christina Aguilera, Britney Spears, Destiny’s Child, Kelly Clarkson, Ashlee Simpson, Muse, Ciara,Monica, Courtney Love, Rob Zombie, Backstreet Boys, U2, The Chemical Brothers, Blink 182, Chris Brown, Eminem, TLC, Katy Perry, and much , much more… Joseph has tweeted about shooting the video on his twitter by tweeting the following :

Got off a call. Emergency music video. Gonna write and turn in a treatment in three hours to shoot asap.

Did I say three hours? I fucking lied. Finished and sent. 45 minutes. FTW.

Video is gonna happen. Lots of work to do now.

Video is awarded. Starts shooting Tuesday. Eminem & Rihanna. Off we go!

International Songwriting Competition Announces Panel

The ninth International Songwriting Competition (ISC) has released its list of judges, and it includes world-renowned artists and record label executives from across the musical spectrum. Artist judges include Peter Gabriel, Tom Waits, Steve Winwood, Timbaland, Rihanna and the Kings Of Leon to name but a few, while Monte Lipman (President of Universal Republic Records), Amanda Ghost (President of Epic Records) and Rich Krim (Executive Vice President and Talent & Music Programming for VH1) represent three of the many music industry moguls who will be judging the competition.

The ISC concludes with 66 winners and one Grand Prize winner, who share more than $150,000 in cash and prizes, with the Grand Prize scoring $25,000 in cash and $20,000 in prizes. Three of the past five Grand Prize winners have signed to major labels with Universal and Epic, while other winners have acquired smaller label and publishing deals. The 2010 ISC has added an “Unsigned Only” category to give undiscovered artists an opportunity to compete with others on a similar level, as entrants in the category cannot be signed to a major label record deal, publishing deal, or distribution deal.

Eminem’s Best Female Collaborator Poll Results

As Eminem’s Recovery moves toward yet another week at the top of the Billboard album chart, his “Love the Way You Lie” also maintains its assault on radio and the digital realm (as of this writing, it stood as the most-downloaded song on iTunes). It seems poised to top Katy Perry’s “California Gurls” this week and take its place at the front of the line on theBillboard Hot 100. That would give Eminem his second consecutive chart-topper, following the success of “Not Afraid.”

But even if “Love the Way You Lie” doesn’t make it to the top of the Billboard Hot 100 this week, Slim Shady can be proud that fans have voted it their favorite collaboration with a female artist. On Monday (July 12), we wondered out loudwhether or not “Love the Way You Lie” (which features Rihanna) was better than his collaborations with Pink, Dido, Dina Rae or his daughter Hailie. The final results of the poll were razor thin, but Rihanna narrowly pulled off the victory, bringing in 39.77 percent of the vote. Dido only missed the top position by nine little votes, putting her in second place with 39.24 percent. It was essentially a two-horse race, as the next biggest vote getter (Hailie Jade) managed to scrape together 10 percent, with Dina Rae (six percent) and Pink (four percent) bringing up the rear.

The final showdown ended up really being between the songs themselves, as while many voters noted that they preferred Rihanna’s larger body of work to Dido’s, they couldn’t vote against “Stan,” which many fans consider to be Eminem’s finest moment. “I love the Rhianna song but topping ‘Stan’ is a tall task,” commenter Andrew noted. “Sorry, but Stan gets the win. ‘Stan’ is a masterpiece, and quite possibly the best song in Em’s whole catalog.”
