“Rude Boy” Music Video Has Been Shot

Rihanna Nominated In 2010 Brit Awards

Lady Gaga and Jay-Z lead nominees for the Brit Awards 2010, snagging nods for their respective albums “The Fame” and “The Blueprint 3″.

Announced as nominees Monday, January 18, Lady Gaga and Jay Z are joined by fellow international nominees Rihanna, Norah Jones, Shakira, Eminem and Taylor Swift.

Sometimes thought of as the UK equivalent of the Grammys, the BRIT Awards celebrate only the best in music.

X Factor acts Leona Lewis and JLS also scored nominations. The latter of the two, JLS, earned nominations for British Single (”Beat Again”), British Group and Breakthrough British Act.

Robbie Williams, Alexandra Burke, Cheryl Cole, and Taio Cruz also received nominations.

The Brit Awards 2010 will take place Tuesday 16 February at London’s Earls Court Arena.

Rihanna’s mixtape for “Rated R” is coming out in Feburary. Def Jam has hired DJ Brooklyn Zoo [Chew Fu] to remix 10 of Rihanna’s songs from album.

“Def Jam hired me to remix 10 tracks of the album for a remix album release in February.”

“Hard” Scores 13th Top 10 Single

Rihanna continues to climb the charts this week. This time however, scoring her thirteenth top 10 single !

According to Billboard, Rihanna is now tied with “I Am…Sasha Fierce” diva Beyonce, for having the most Hot 100 top 10s among female artists since 2000.

Moving 15 – 9, Rihanna’s “Hard” brought the tie to pass, following “Russian Roulette”, which peaked at no. 9 last year.

“Hard” stems from Rihanna’s fall 2009 effort “Rated R,” featuring Young Jeezy.
