Yesterday, the “Hope for Haiti Now”: A Global Benefit for Earthquake Relief,” hosted by George Clooney, Wyclef Jean, and Anderson Cooper to raise funds for earthquake relief, was live-streamed by youtube.
Celebrities as Wyclef Jean, Bruce Springsteen, Jennifer Hudson, Mary J. Blige, Shakira, and Sting in New York City; Alicia Keys, Christina Aguilera, Dave Matthews, John Legend, Justin Timberlake, Stevie Wonder, Taylor Swift and a group performance by Keith Urban, Kid Rock, and Sheryl Crow in Los Angeles; and Coldplay, and a group performance by Bono, The Edge, Jay-Z, and Rihanna in London performed to donate money to Haiti.
The song “Stranded”, as well as the rest of the benefit’s musical performances, will be packaged together on the digital only album Hope for Haiti Now. It will be available starting January 25th via iTunes, and 100% of proceeds from the sale of album and any of its individual live performance tracks will go to Clinton Bush Haiti Fund, Oxfam America, Partners In Health, Red Cross, UNICEF, United Nations World Food Programme, and Yéle Haiti Foundation.

Rihanna arrived today to Heathrow airport in London from a short stay in Oslo, where she taped the “Skavlan” tv show interview. It aired tonight, and she talked about Oliver [her dog], music, style and she told that she had 18 outfits with her to Europe!

Rihanna is taking the step in performing at the Hope for Haiti Now Telethon on Friday (today) January 22 at 8PM ET/PT! Singing a new song “Stranded” with the one and only Jay-Z, The Edge of U2, and Bono to raise money! Upset as Rihanna was on her interview with Fredrik Skavlan on an Oslo talk show to show depth sorrow.
“In the Caribbean, we think of ourselves as ONE big family, one country. We’re all together. We all represent each other,” Rihanna explained on the show.
“It’s like it happened to Barbados,” she mentioned.
From the telethon, donations will be sent to the Oxfam America and Partners in Health and UNICEF to help a massive struck that will be broadcasted today at 8PM ET/PT on Cnn.
