Rumour – Rihanna & Chris Going To Try To Be Friends?

Chris Brown is under court orders not to go within 50 yards of Rihanna, but both he and his ex want to get rid of the strict no-contact clause.

“They think it’s unnecessary and ridiculous,” says a mutual pal of the protection order handed down at Tuesday’s criminal proceeding, during which Brown pled guilty to one count of felony assault in the February attack that left Rihanna battered and bruised.

“After [the proceeding], Ri and Chris talked on the phone for almost an hour and really worked at becoming friends. They’re solid now.” Solid, but still unable to speak to one another in public. At the very least, they’ll be able to get a little closer to one another at this Sunday’s BET Awards in L.A., which both stars are set to attend.

The order of protection gives Brown a little leeway at music-industry events, stipulating that he cannot come within 10 yards of the Bajan beauty. But as much as Rihanna and Chris may want to bury the hatchet, their friend is quick to dismiss a renewed romance.

“That’s 100% done,” says the pal. “They aren’t looking to hook back up again. They’re both moving on and going their separate ways.“ Brown is currently in the studio. The “No Air” crooner is working on his comeback album, which will reportedly feature duets with Mary J. Blige and Keri Hilson.

We hear the disk will also include a song called “Not My Fault,” about a female “singer” who got “caught up.” We wonder who that could be. Rihanna is also back to work on new music, but seems to be finding more time for play than her ex.

While Brown focuses on his career and repairing his image, Rihanna has recently attended a handful of premieres like “Year One,” enjoyed play dates with pals Aubrey (Drake) Graham, LeBron James and Kanye West, and gone clubbing at Jay-Z’s 40/40. In addition, CoverGirl seems to have made peace with Rihanna and is releasing a three-month-old ad campaign featuring the singer as its spokeswoman.

Chris Brown Cops Plea – No Jail Time

Chris Brown has copped a plea in his assault case. He won’t do jail time, but he will spend 6 months doing things like road cleanup.

He’ll spend 180 days doing community labor (8 hours a day — 1440 hours total) — which is, in effect, hard labor. He’ll do his service in Virginia which is where Brown lives. A Virginia law enforcement officer told us Brown will be picking up trash, pulling weeds and washing fire trucks.

About the 5 years probation for FELONY assault — he pled guilty. He’ll get supervised probation. He’ll have to come back to court every three months.

He must enroll in a domestic violence counseling program.

This is interesting … the judge said if Brown and Rihanna are at the same public events, the 50-yard stay away turns into 10 yards. The stay away order lasts 5 years.

The judge said she wanted to make sure that Chris Brown “was treated as any other person who comes through this court.”

If Brown violates probation, he could get up to 4 years in prison.

Rihanna is in the courthouse but never entered the courtroom.

So Brown is now a convicted felon and loses the following rights: To own a gun, to sit on a jury, subject to search and seizure without a search warrant and he now has limitations on travel.

When Brown left the courtroom … Rihanna walked in the courtroom. The judge explained the deal to her. The judge is telling Rihanna about the protective order.

Rihanna Unhappy That Chris Has To Stay Away

After the hearing yesterday, Rihanna’s attorney, Donald Etra sais there’s one part of Chris’s plea deal that Rihanna is extremely unhappy about the ‘’stay away” order Judge Patricia Schnegg instated for the duration of Brown’s five year probation.

Under the terms of the order, Chris is not allowed to have any contact with her, and is required to stay at least 50 yards away from her [although that distance will be reduced to 10 yards at industry events.]

Etra said Rihanna felt this was an unnenecessary step as the two have reunited without problems since the incident.

Brown will be back in court august 5th.

Rihanna Fans! She’s done a lot of stuff for us, now it’s your time to do so for her! Rihanna’s Neighbors – Rihanna “Is A Good Neighbor”
Despite everything that Rihanna has been going through lately, her neighbor, Christian Moeller is suing her for supposedly repeatedly parking and driving on his property. Though, he’s upset enough to file a lawsuit over it, Rihanna’s neighbors are defending her and say that they’ve never known her to do anything inconsiderate.

Christian Moeller is suing Ri-Ri and the owner of the house that Rihanna rents, Stephen Yacobian, because people, including the singer, are constantly driving and sometimes keeping their cars on his property.

As if that weren’t enough, Moeller is also saying that there is a security camera on Rihanna’s property that is pointed in his direction.

One neighbor says, “She is a good neighbor.” The person also said that Rihanna “is hardly ever” at the house.

Jasmina Anema Gets Transplant, Rihanna – “Miracles Do Happen”
Little Jasmina Anema, 6-year-old fan of Rihanna’s was diagnosed with leukemia and was in need of a bone marrow transplant. Fortunately, the girl had a bone marrow transplant on Thursday, which could, potentially save her life.

Rihanna has been close to Jasmina and was vocal in finding a match for Jasmina’s bone marrow transplant. She even flew all the way to New York City just to see Jasmina at the NYU medical center.

Thea Anema, mother to Jasmina said of the transplant,

“I’m overwhelmed with so many emotions right now! For months, I’ve been so scared and anxious and full of uncertainty. And now it’s finally happened. It’s an overwhelming relief. I am incredibly grateful to the donor who gave Jasmina a second chance at life.”

Rihanna was also thrilled about the news and told People magazine,

“I love this little girl and I am so happy that Jasmina received her transplant today. Miracles do happen. I hope more people sign up as bone marrow donors with DKMS so we can save more lives like hers. Jasmina remains in my prayers for a fast recovery.”

Rihanna Attends At Black Eyed Peas
Rihanna attended the launch of the new Black Eyed Peas album “The E.N.D” yesterday at The Griffin in New York City. Rihanna seemed to be having fun and stopped to take some pictures with the group. Also in appearance at the party was Rihanna’s new rumored boyfriend, Aubrey “Drake” Graham, a Canadian rapper. Rihanna is said to have been chatting and laughing with him that night.

But then, once again Drake denied that they are together:

“We’re just good friends,” the Toronto-based rapper (real name: Aubrey Drake Graham), 22, tells ET Canada. “She’s a great person, and I am happy to have her in my life. She gives me a lot of great advice, and she is very talented.”

Rihanna Got Stuck in Elevator Before Filming TV Show Appearance?
According to Alan Carr of “The Friday Night Project”, Rihanna got stuck in an elevator on her way to the the studio to film an appearance on the show.

He tells the UK Daily Mirror,

“Now I’ve had me fair share of ups and downs over the years but nothing quite like poor ol’ Rihanna. She was due to be filming for me and Justin Lee Collins when the lift taking her to the studio floor shuddered to a mid-air halt.”

He continues,

“As if that wasn’t bad enough, she had her leg in a plastercast at the time … and the poor love fell over in a blind panic! She was on her own – no bodyguards – and was frantically calling out for help. But none of us heard her – probably too busy gossiping!

He explains the situation,

“So there’s Ri, scrabbling around on the lift floor like a disabled granny in an old folks’ home and desperately prodding the alarm button with her crutch. Eventually, after the longest quarter of an hour of her life, someone finally noticed the red flashing light and she was was picked off the floor by a rescue team and plucked out the doors.

Apparently, she handled it quite well. “She was a total trooper though. No moaning. She simply dusted herself off and minutes later was out on stage, belting out Umbrella.”

More than four months after Chris Brown allegedly assaulted, Rihanna is expected to break her silence Monday during testimony in a Los Angeles court. The preliminary hearing is to determine if there’s enough evidence for a trial against Brown. Here are answers to frequently asked questions about the case:

What will Rihanna say?
Rihanna’s lawyer has steadfastly said the singer will comply with prosecutors and tell the truth. Her testimony is expected to mirror a detective’s report about the alleged assault. Experts say she could be on the stand for approximately two hours, including cross-examination by Brown’s attorney. Cameras won’t be allowed in the courtroom.

Will Brown be there?
Yes, he’s required to attend.

Can Rihanna be forced to testify?
No. Rihanna is legally required to appear in court. But she can refuse to take the stand and, since this is a domestic violence case, the court cannot threaten her with jail time to compel her to speak. At most, she could be punished with fines or other sanctions, but a judge may be reluctant to do so.

What about the rumors that Rihanna hit Chris and started the alleged fight?
The question will almost certainly be raised in testimony. The detective’s report makes no mention that Rihanna instigated the alleged fight, which the report says erupted over a text message Brown received from a previous lover. Lawyers for both Rihanna and Brown had no comment on this question. The judge also may not allow questions to be asked about previous physical fights the couple may have had, which would be seen as outside the scope of a preliminary hearing.

How will her testimony affect the case?
It can make or break it, experts say. If she appears credible on the stand, it could push Brown to accept a plea deal – which could include some jail time – and avoid a trial. If her testimony seems unreliable and prosecutors fail to prove they have a case, Brown’s lawyer could ask for the two felony charges to be reduced or dismissed on the spot.

Are Rihanna and Chris still together?
Unclear. The on-again, off-again pair were last known to be together in early April. Rihanna has been spotted out twice recently with Canadian rapper, Aubrey “Drake” Graham, with whom she’s been romantically linked.

When will this case end?
The case could end at any moment with a plea deal, and experts say a trial is unlikely. However, Brown’s attorney could make any number of legal requests or arguments that could stall the case for months.
